Junior Interior Designer
SF Bay Area
Experience:
-
1-2 years of experience in residential design, including build, renovation, and furnishing projects.

Candidates with a related degree in interior design or a similar field, but without direct experience, will also be considered.
Skills:​
-
Capable of performing site measurements and creating floor plans
-
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Google Drive, AutoCAD/SketchUp, Houzz Pro, Asana, and Canva is a plus.

Experience in sourcing FF&E from both retail and trade vendors
-
Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Process-driven, detail-oriented, resourceful, self-motivated, and collaborative.

Passionate about design!
Work Environment & Travel:
-
Work from home with the expectation to attend in-person meetings as required, including consultations, site visits, showrooms, our San Francisco office, and sample pick-ups/drop-offs.

Must have a car and a valid driver’s license.

Reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and available during business hours (M-F, 9am-5pm).

Occasional travel may be requested for out-of-area projects and trade shows.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring all phases of the design process stay on schedule and within scope

Collaborate in all phases of design from concept through installation, working directly with the clients and design team.

Participate in and support construction management.

Assist in sourcing furnishings, fabrics, fixtures, and finishes that align with client needs and project budgets.

Order/coordinate samples, assist with gathering quotes, prepare presentations, and present designs to clients and trades.

Prepare & maintain supporting documents such as finish schedules, client files, spec books, furnishing budgets, and drawings
-
Participate in weekly design/project reviews with the design team.

Assist with the procurement process, including proposals, invoices, order tracking, close collaboration with vendors and receiving warehouse, and implementation.

Attend meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors as needed; and relay recap with relevant information to the design team

Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, design showrooms, and vendors.

Rate: $30-40/hour
Hours: 10-15 hours/week (with potential to increase)
